Irina Alekseevna
Poster artist, painter, poet. Born 1942 in Krasnoutimsk. Graduated from Moscow 1905 Art School. Member of the USSR Artists* Union and UNESCO International Artists' Federation. Frequent participant in Moscow, national, and international exhibits. Has awards from international displays of posters and paintings in galeries in Milan, Verona, and New Jersey. Prefers a technique of gouache on cardboard in painting and graphics. Favourite subjects are mythological beings: Water-Nymph. Leda and Swan, Siren bird. Adam and Eve, Icarus. Archer, and others. An originality in creative style attracts the attention of collectors. Irina Volnova's paintings are in private collections in Italy, the US, France, and Belgium. Reproductions of her paintings and posters have been published in the journals "Friendship among Peoples", "Soviet Woman", and Novosti Information Agency magazines published in India, Poland, the US. and France. |
