Research areas
The main research activity is the study of photo-physical processes in complex molecules, including high-resolution spectroscopy of complex molecules and the use of such molecules in science and technology, in particular, in dye lasers.
The other key directions are:
- Study of the spatial solitons properties in thin films
- Development of methods to control the temporal laser radiation characteristics by means of optoelectronic feedbacks
- Study of solid-state laser radiation characteristics when pumped with semiconductor lasers
The laboratory is also involved in the development of a prototype of X-ray source based on Thomson scattering of laser radiation by electrons.
The investigations are carried out in collaboration with the other laboratories of the LPI, GPI RAS, MSU and MIPT.
