The main research areas are the following:

- Interaction of intense laser radiation with matter;
- Physics of high-temperature non-equilibrium laser plasma;
- Physics of compression and combustion of the inertial fusion targets: for the direct and indirect compression, fast ignition schemes and different radiation sources;
- Analysis and research processes in astrophysical phenomena and also, for the simulation on laser systems
- Hydrodynamic instabilities and turbulent mixing.
